# Record on Apple Watch, transcribe on your iPhone

URL: https://quietscribe.app/en/use-cases/apple-watch-transcription/

Quiet Scribe turns Apple Watch into a discreet meeting recorder. Start from your wrist, mark key moments, and the watch sends the audio to your iPhone, which transcribes it and writes the minutes, even if the iPhone wasn't nearby during the meeting.

## Who it's for

People in in-person meetings, site visits or walking conversations where taking out a phone isn't practical.

## How to record a meeting with Apple Watch

1. **Start recording:** Open Quiet Scribe on the watch, use the Record complication or Siri. On Apple Watch Ultra, assign it to the Action button.
2. **Mark and note:** Tap markers for key moments or dictate a quick note while the recording runs.
3. **Let it sync:** When you stop, the audio is sent to your paired iPhone, right away or as soon as the iPhone is nearby.
4. **Read the minutes:** The iPhone transcribes and writes the minutes; recent meetings with tasks and decisions show up back on your wrist.

## Why the watch

- **Always at hand:** Start recording in a second, without unlocking your phone.
- **Works without the iPhone nearby:** Recordings wait on the watch and transfer automatically later.
- **Results on your wrist:** See tasks and decisions of recent meetings, or listen to the summary.

> Apple Watch requires a paired iPhone with Quiet Scribe installed; the iPhone does the transcription and minutes.
