# Your meetings stay yours

URL: https://quietscribe.app/en/privacy/

Quiet Scribe has no account, no servers and no bot that joins your calls. Transcription and AI minutes run on your device, audio never leaves your own devices, and Deepyze never receives your recordings, transcripts or notes.

## The short version

- **No account:** There's nothing to sign up for. Open the app and record.
- **No Quiet Scribe servers:** Quiet Scribe has no backend. Deepyze cannot see, store or access your content.
- **No bots in your calls:** Nothing joins your Zoom, Meet, Teams or FaceTime call. Quiet Scribe records on your own device.
- **No analytics, ads or third-party SDKs:** The app is built only with Apple frameworks and contains no tracking.
- **Processed on your device:** Apple's speech recognition and the on-device Apple Intelligence model create the transcript, minutes and answers.
- **Optional private iCloud:** If iCloud is on, meetings and minutes sync between your devices through your private iCloud database. Audio files are never synced.
- **Watch to iPhone:** Apple Watch recordings go directly to your paired iPhone, with no server in between.
- **You decide what's shared:** Content only leaves the app when you export a PDF, send an email or use the share sheet.

## About Private Cloud Compute

On iOS and macOS 27 or later, where available, Quiet Scribe includes an optional setting, off by default, to process long meetings with Apple's Private Cloud Compute. When it's on, only the text of long meetings (transcript, meeting context and text recognized in attached documents and photos) is sent; audio and photos never leave your device.

Apple doesn't store that data and uses it only for your request. If Private Cloud Compute isn't available, Quiet Scribe processes on your device as always, and each meeting shows whether it was processed on device or with Private Cloud Compute.

On Apple Watch with watchOS 27 or later, if your iPhone isn't nearby, Ask can answer with Private Cloud Compute using the summaries stored on your watch. The watch tells you before it does and labels the answer.

## Permissions

Quiet Scribe asks for the microphone, speech recognition, calendar, reminders and, on Mac, system audio recording only when you use the related feature. On iPhone it may also ask for the camera, to photograph a whiteboard, and contacts, to link a person mentioned in a meeting. You can revoke any permission in Settings.
